Inspired by George Orwell’s “1984”, in which there is a passage that describes the communication that is permitted between citizens including pre-printed postcards with Party approved words and phrases. Prior to an Interrail trip around Europe I designed a standard postcard that included a paragraph that, with the obliteration of some words, would enable me to post a relevant message home from each location on the trip
